Hudson DECA Competition Recap

Hudson DECA competed at our district competition on January 6th at UW-Stout. We brought 17 members to compete in their various events.

We started the day early on Saturday morning. It was a chilly day for competition, but our State Officer Ben Smith pumped us up with the cheer, “We have ice in our veins.” As we arrived to UW-Stout around 8 am, we had time to explore the campus and grab some breakfast before our cluster exams. After our cluster exams, we headed to our role-plays, a great experience for new members. After lunch, we did the DECA activities which included dancing, a scavenger hunt, bingo, photo booth, and the amazing family feud.

As the awards ceremony was starting, our iconic Ben Smith gave an amazing speech and our LC members helped out with Miracle Minute. Many new members placed highly in their event, earning spots for Hudson DECA to be attend state.

Overall, Hudson DECA is able to bring 10 members to state and it was a great experience for everyone.
