The Appleton East DECA Chapter does many community service projects that involve raising money for a cause.  Last year three of their members decided they wanted to do something different.  They coordinated a “Senior Prom” for the residents at The Heritage, a senior assisted living facility in  Appleton.  Approximately 40 members of the chapter attended the event with the seniors.  They enjoyed playing bingo, eating appetizers, and dancing to a live performance from the Geriatric Gentlemen of Jazz.  The senior citizens were delighted with the event and asked numerous times that the event become an annual tradition.  Three Appleton East DECA members will be using this event as their written project in the Community Service Project event at State this year.  All members had an awesome time and the tradition for a senior prom in Appleton has begun!
