Hi Wisconsin DECA! I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to support the growth of Wisconsin DECA and to contribute to our organization’ssuccess, which means focusing on every single member. Whether you’re a returning glass-winning veteran or brand new to DECA, my goal is to provide guidance and resources so that Wisconsin DECA can be the “Next Big Thing” on the competitive stage. Through these resources, members can broaden their knowledge in roleplay, project, and professional strategies that they can use in all competition levels, especially making competitive excellence accessible for new members.
A key priority of mine is to build the Competition Clinic, virtual workshops for every single member of DECA, inside and outside of Wisconsin. Through these workshops, you can build your competitive skills and win glass this year by hearing from glass winners, top judges, and state officers about how they found competitive success. You’ll also get the chance to practice the skills you’ve learned through interactive components.
In addition to these goals, I am excited to continue the Diamond Dash program to celebrate the creativity, excellence, and dedication of participating chapters. Look forward to a revised task list as we approach the school year! Additionally, you can expect new additions to the Competitive Excellence Series so that current members can easily learn from years’ worth of knowledge and expertise. If you’re looking for further tips and tricks, the Competition Cabinet is another great place to look when preparing to make your way to the stage.
I’m also excited to spotlight all of you through series like Wisconsin Wins and through Achievement Archives, while I look forward to expanding our Middle School DECA program through competitions and expanded guides for chapters. If you ever need help with middle school DECA, feel free to reach out to me to schedule a call.
I aim to support members of Wisconsin DECA by:
-Creating Competition Clinic, an all-new series of interactive workshops
-Expanding opportunities for Middle School DECA
-Allowing WI DECA’s top competitors to share their tips for success
-Encouraging chapters to share their best practices within their community and Wisconsin
-Continuing to improve and update Diamond Dash Initiatives
-Updating the Competition Cabinet to provide a more reliable and accurate experience
By focusing on these goals, I hope to see Wisconsin DECA step up and achieve their “Next Big Thing” this year!
