Sun Prairie DECA Districts Recap
Kicking off the competition season for the 2018 year was the District level Career Development Conference. This is an incredible exciting time for many, and that clearly was shown in Wisconsin DECA District 3. District 3 brought almost 900 high school students from 23 different schools to Sun Prairie High School to compete early on January 6th.
By the time all of the morning jitters had passed, competition was well underway. With students filling the halls and every room in between, it was clear that hard work was going on behind the walls. There was great representation from different schools in every event, which made breaks an enjoyable time to hang out with others and make some new friends.
After competition, the time that many wait for prevailed: the awards ceremony. It is always an incredible experience to hear all of the schools cheering on their competitors and cheering on your own as well. The team spirit was evident as a wide variety of schools had medalists, finalists, and champions on stage.
Overall, D3 Districts was a huge success for all schools. It was an enjoyable Saturday in the world of DECA. Congratulations to all who competed at Districts and good luck to those moving on the the State Career Development Conference in March!
