Hi, Wisconsin DECA! Thank you so much for entrusting me to serve as your Vice President of Event Management for Team 61! It is an incredible honor, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to represent our members this year. From Chapter Opportunity Workshop and Emerging Leadership Conference to the State Career Development Conference and everything in between, I am committed to creating experiences that inspire growth, build confidence, and leave every member feeling more connected to Wisconsin DECA.

As your Vice President of Event Management, my mission extends far beyond planning conferences. My goal is to elevate the entire member experience by making every Wisconsin DECA event more engaging, intentional, and memorable from the moment registration opens to long after the conference ends. Every interaction, resource, and event should empower members to become stronger leaders, competitors, and professionals while building a community they are proud to be a part of.

Wisconsin DECA is truly filled with ambitious students who each bring unique talents, perspectives, and aspirations to our organization.Whether your passion lies in competition, leadership, service, entrepreneurship, or chapter involvement, every member deserves opportunities to grow and succeed. Together, we have the ability to shape the future of Wisconsin DECA and create an experience that leaves a lasting impact on every chapter across the state.

For this reason, this year, I want to transform the way members experience Wisconsin DECA. Rather than simply attending conferences, I want every member to feel prepared before they arrive, engaged while they're there, and inspired long after they return home. Through stronger communication, innovative programming, and more accessible resources, I hope to make every event feel welcoming, exciting, and meaningful for both first-year members and experienced competitors alike.

One initiative I am especially excited to introduce is something Wisconsin DECA has never had before: Ask WI DECA. Ask WI DECA will be an AI-powered assistant designed to become every member's first stop for conference information and chapter support. Whether you'relooking for registration deadlines, packing lists, conference schedules, competitive event information, dress code guidance, or answers to frequently asked questions, members will have access to accurate, reliable information anytime they need it. Instead of searching through countless emails, group chats, or trying to remember what someone's advisor said three weeks ago, members will have one centralized resource available 24/7.

Beyond Ask WI DECA, my goals for this year include:
-Developing a comprehensive Event Management Guide to help chapters plan successful and impactful events.
-Launching Ask WI DECA to simplify communication and provide real-time event support.
-Showcasing conferences through authentic member-focused content.
-Recognizing chapters with outstanding event management and sharing best practices.
-Designing engaging event programming, resources, and conference materials.
-Expanding member leadership opportunities through conference operations and statewide initiatives.
-Collecting year-round feedback to continuously improve the Wisconsin DECA experience.

I cannot wait to work alongside each of you to make this an unforgettable year and see everything we'll accomplish together. Here's to cultivating the Next Big Thing for Wisconsin DECA!
