DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. Effective marketing education gives young people the tools and aptitudes they need to live, learn and lead. DECA strives to provide its members with opportunities to develop those skills through its competitive events program that comes to life with you as a judge. Being a judge allows you to see the skills our students demonstrate in a competitive situation.
DECA students have the opportunity to apply their marketing knowledge in a variety of competitive events. They compete in either individual or team events consisting of two role-plays. Local business and community leaders are needed as volunteers to judge the role-plays. DECA has over 26 events ranging from Food Marketing to Business Finance, something for every professional to apply their expertise as a judge. Judge training is provided prior to the events.
